The Summer Lab was an intensive workshop for young people from all over Europe, which consisted of two parts.
An intensive 5 day period of exploration. Through a combination of physical exercises, conversation, experimentation and play we investigated collective processes and how things emerge in the space between us. These explorations were grounded in sensorial/human specific performance and installation making.
This work experiments with space, objects, light, sound, text and our experience of being in the world in order to make personal and meaningful investigations of reality. We also worked with dialogue training and drew upon ideas and themes from philosophy, mythology and science.
An intensive 6 day period of creation. Building on the explorations of Part 1, participants developed their own artistic work. This work could take any form, and be a solo or group creation.
